CRISTINA BONUCCI
My Artistic Journey
In 1994, I chose to leave academia to devote myself entirely to Art.
Since then, my work has evolved through an exploration of Forms, Colours and Materials, in which the human body plays a central role as presence, trace and expressive language.
From Painting to Sculpture, my artistic research has explored the relationship between the Body and space, between the Image and its transformation, giving shape to works that invite viewers to observe from different perspectives.
This artistic journey laid the foundation for my subsequent exploration of Image Styling, without being confined to it: Art continues to be an independent dimension of my life and work.

In those works, the simplicity of the approach was counterbalanced by the distinctive way in which they were presented, floating in space. In fact, the canvases were not placed against a wall, but suspended in mid-air, so that they could be viewed from both sides, each side depicting a different image. Although her canvases lacked three-dimensionality, Cristina already presented them as if they were sculptures."...
