Fashion and Art have always been a happy combination. In the images on the side we see how Yves Saint Laurent interpreted Piet Mondrian's painting in fashion and how Elsa Schiaparelli narrated Salvador Dalì's 'lobster' in the dress she created, but we could also mention many other collaborations: Zumi Rosow and Gucci, Pref and Fendi, Merce Cunningham and Kawakubo and so on. Gian Carlo Menotti, founder of the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi, wrote in 1998: "It takes patience to show your fellow-citizens that civilized man 'lives' by art without even realizing it".
