Every Face has its own structure, a combination of Shapes, Lines and Proportions that contributes to the uniqueness of each Person's Image.
Through the Face Shape Study, I observe the relationships between facial features and how they can interact with accessories, hairstyles and other elements of Image Style.
Drawing and knowledge of the Canons of Beauty developed throughout Art History provide cultural and design references for understanding Forms, without reducing the Face to an ideal model.
My work is not about correcting a Person's features, but about exploring the expressive possibilities of Image Style, consciously choosing which characteristics to emphasise, visually balance or interpret through design.
The aim is to help you gain a deeper understanding of your Face's Forms and give you tools to make Style choices consistent with the Image you wish to create.
